Seamless Transition and Enhanced Functionality Transforming ASP.NET SaaS Application Maintenance and Development

Introduction:

The client offers subscriptions, training, and workshops centred around the Toolkit method and a SaaS application designed for online process workshops. With a proven track record of success with major companies such as HP, Intel, Target, ConAgra, and Chevron, the Toolkit method delivers efficient collaboration results in a matter of hours and days, accelerating the pace of process change.

Requirements:

The client needed a seamless takeover and continuation of development and maintenance for their ASP.NET/Bootstrap/MS SQL Server SaaS application hosted on MS Azure.

Solution:

Our team provided ongoing development, maintenance, and operational support for the application. In earlier development phases, we established detailed procedures for issue reporting, task prioritization, and application management using Google Docs, Dropbox, and Jira. After familiarizing ourselves with the software and procedures, we proceeded with the development and deployment of new features and maintenance changes.

Challenges:

Challenges in the project primarily revolved around seamlessly taking over and continuing the development and maintenance of the ASP.NET/Bootstrap/MS SQL Server SaaS application. The transition required a thorough understanding of existing systems and processes. Developing detailed procedures for issue reporting, task prioritization, and application management demanded careful consideration and coordination. Throughout the project, several major features were added, and numerous minor updates were implemented, totalling approximately a dozen production releases. Over time, our procedures and formats have been further formalized, enabling us to use the application confidently in online process workshops and actively market the software, assured of its security, robustness, and high functionality.
